 5th Character: Gumei, Fantasy AGE 2e  Five day, the end of the first week draw nears! I've decided to keep with Gumei a while longer, let's do a full week of repeat character, why not? This time, I decided to create our wandering alchemist in Fantasy Age 2e, a game I've owned for some time but never really took the time to check until recently. I think I got it in some Green Ronin based bundle? Oh well, I usually enjoy Green Ronin's stuffs, so it was more than time for me to crack it open! Interesting engine with a bit of crunch, would be fun to play I think. Character Creation is made in 9 steps, let's go through them. First step was already done when I came in, Character Concept which is Wandering Alchemist, followed by determining abilities. I chose to Assign her stats so I could express her character through it, adjusting here and there as I go along and I discover which stats would make sense to focus on for the build to work, but it may be more advantageous t...

 4th Character: Gumei, Vagabond 4th day and finally a new character! This time, I chose the game Vagabond by Land of the Blind, a fairly recent OSR-ish game that I managed to pick up right before Christmas! I say OSR-ish, because it says the game is fairly compatible with old school adventure and there is an emphasis on Dungeon Crawling and the like, but it does thing in a pretty unique fashion with only the players rolling dice, using clocks and allowing some character building with a Perk system, for those like me who do prefer the character creation aspect from starting with D&D 3e. The character is Gumei the alchemist, I was planning on starting her off with Pathfinder 2e, but I decided to showcase another system to start with instead! I'm also planning of creating her in a few different system, but I'm undecided if I'll do all of her in a row or if I'd rather sprinkle her various version over the month. I guess we'll see how I feel tomorrow! Good old 1 page...

3rd Character: Lugule DeLure, M&M3e  3rd day, 3rd version of Lugule DeLure! This time I went with an old favorite, Mutants&Masterminds 3e! The power profile sourcebook was somewhat helpful for inspiration, but her powerset is fairly classic all in all. I went with 3e instead of the 4e Playtest just so I could use Hero Lab and save some time, but maybe later in the month, I'll do a 4e character. We'll see! Not too much to say on this one, to be honest, made her Power Level 8 as that seems like a decent power level for a early level Kineticist. Half her power points went into her power, which make sense, and most of her power wont change as she gets more experienced, with only her Pyrokinesis Array needing to keep up with her Power Level, so later on I would be able to give more variety to her skillset and throw in some Advantages for a more rounded out character. It was pure luck that the chain mail is exactly the value I needed to meet her Toughness cap, it also allowed...

  2nd Character: Lugule DeLure, FIGHT! 2e    Second day of the year, second character! Or rather, second version of the first character! As mentioned previously, I'm starting the challenge by providing different version of the same character, Lugule DeLure, the Naari Pyrokineticist. Naari are the Pathfinder 2e Remaster of the Ifrit, the Pathfinder-brand version of the Fire Genasi. For those unfamiliar, Genasi are mortal in D&D that are descended or otherwise touched in some profound way by the Elemental Planes or the creature dwelling there. Most commonly, they are descended from Genie, but it doesn't have to be the case, as shown by Lugule. Back to the point, I decided to pull out my FIGHT! second edition handbook for this version of Lugule! I'm working with the assumption that we're doing some sort of Pathfinder fighting game, so I kept that in mind while assigning quality and such. 1st Character: Lugule DeLure, Pathfinder 2e  Hello everyone, I created this blog for the Character Creation Challenge, 2026 edition! Last year, I did everything on Bluesky, but the limited post size and number of images was a bit too limiting. I don't know that I'll write a lot, but it's nice to have the option if the game gave me some thoughts I'd like to share. Anyway, last year I did 31 different characters in 31 different systems, so I decided to do something else for 2026. I already made a tentative schedule, but I may end up not sticking to it, especially if I stumble on a game during the month. So, not only do I not worry about repeating game, I even plan to create some character in multiple systems, just to see how different the result is system by system.
