 Day 30: Rinara, Black Star


 Day 30, Penultimate day! Where did the month go? Still undecided on the last character, but I went easy for today with a return to LakeSide Games' Black Star for a third member of Kerose's space criminal crew! Is the crew all ladies? Maybe, I'm still undecided on that, maybe next year there's going to be a couple of guys and non-binaries added to the gang, with a robot or two. For now, another lady, after the gunner with a golden mouth and the brawny mechanics, we have the Space-Australian Pilot-Thief! The outlaw even has a perk they can pick that makes it easier for them to break into and hot-wire vehicles, so nice synergy there. Anyway, here's a quick rundown of character creation in case you forgot or I plain didn't let you know the last two time, as I don't remember what I wrote. :v We have ten abilities, each starting at one, we get 10 extra points to distribute but we can't get above a 3. Then we pick two of the ten archetype, there's one for each abilities and we get to pick a perk from each archetype. We also have one last perk we can pick from any list at all and our gear list is a space communicator, a weapon, 3 items and 2 free items pick once the game is started. We also get the related Gear if we picked a Gear perk. The system is 2d6+attribute, need a 9+ to succeed and we can spend 1 HP to either reroll or get a success with a consequence. Every Archetype basic perk you get just from choosing it let's you succeed with no consequence on that last option with the linked abilities. There's some more to it, including the fact that it's purely player facing regarding dice roll, but just buy the book if you want to know more!

 As I said, I made this character a pilot and vehicle thief, so I picked perk that made sense for that concept, she's the kind to steal spaceship to go on over-the-top joy ride! She probably met Kerose and Raimu after stealing their transport and impressing them with her skill and fearless attitude. She is from the same species as Jeice from Dragon Ball, but he doesn't really show any special ability that would be unique to his race, like Raimu ability to turn into a big lizardgirl, so I didn't  go for a innate talent this time or use the alien rules. Since Kerose last talent was from the Outlaw list, I instead went to the Gear talents list to give her a special charge gun that deals double damage on robots, extra damage on cyborgs and less damages on organic. Maybe her sector of space has robots for space cops instead of the Space Patrol from Dragon Ball Super, so she trained in a weapon that would mess them up good but is relatively safe from causing collateral damage!
