3rd Character: Lugule DeLure, M&M3e
3rd day, 3rd version of Lugule DeLure! This time I went with an old favorite, Mutants&Masterminds 3e! The power profile sourcebook was somewhat helpful for inspiration, but her powerset is fairly classic all in all. I went with 3e instead of the 4e Playtest just so I could use Hero Lab and save some time, but maybe later in the month, I'll do a 4e character. We'll see! Not too much to say on this one, to be honest, made her Power Level 8 as that seems like a decent power level for a early level Kineticist. Half her power points went into her power, which make sense, and most of her power wont change as she gets more experienced, with only her Pyrokinesis Array needing to keep up with her Power Level, so later on I would be able to give more variety to her skillset and throw in some Advantages for a more rounded out character. It was pure luck that the chain mail is exactly the value I needed to meet her Toughness cap, it also allowed me to give her her knife. She is very weak with it, but it's flavorful and it does allow to cut ropes and such.
I'm not a fan of putting all her accuracy in Skill, but with only one ranged move and one melee move, I do have to save point somewhere! She does have some tricks, her nurturing aura giving her allies and bystander resistance to Fire and the effect of environmental heat and cold while not affecting her opponent. She does have a neat trick where she can throw her fire blast at someone, then switching to another move in her array with the target taking another instant of damage from the secondary effect, representing that they are on fire for a round after the attack. Also, do note that her Brightsoul Naari effect is permanent, though it can still be counteracted with a Darkness effect. Actually, I should have given it a "skin" descriptor, to represent that heavy clothing can block some of the light. Oh well, it would come up naturally in game I think. Sadly, the lack of power points means she lacks her stealth and thievery, but I still think she would be fun to play! As for the complication and such, I was working with the assumption that she's in a game taking place on Golarion or some other fantasy universe, she would get some reverse isekai complication if the game was standard modern day super-heroes stuff! Though I guess it would turn out that Common is actually Modern Day English, as is usually the case in those story.
